Holy Pentaminoes Batman!

In the 1950s, Dr. Solomon Golomb created a game called pentaminoes which is a puzzle game with peices composed of five congruent squares, connected orthogonally. The peices compose 12 unique shapes that are used to create rectangles without overlap. This is the game that inspired one of my favorite games of all times, Tetris. Dr. Golomb didn't stop there, he also has made several amazing contributions to the studies of information science and communications. Apparently he doesn't like to smile for photos, though.

It's a fact.
