Death of a Blog

Well, It is time. I haven't updated Fact of the Day with a real quirky fact in a while, and the reason is I am done with the idea. The blog will stay here as an archive, but I am officially retiring it. Goodbye Fact of the Day, we had some good times. Remember that post about corn flakes? or Doki Doki Panic? Yeah, that was cool.

*Clears throat

In its place a new and better blog will rise!! Introducing...... Big Head Mode!!

A better blogger? You better believe it!

Well, I just converted all my blogs over to the new blogger beta, which should play nice with my google account. So today's fact, is that google totally owns me. I use gmail, google reader, and blogger. I just can't wait till they come out with google soul (beta). Then at least, it will be offical.

It's a fact.

Here Sega, take my money!

The Sega Activator was a Genesis octagonal motion sensing controller, that laid on the floor whilst you moved about. I think this was one of those things were it looked so cool on TV, but when you bought it, you realized you had been had. (PowerGlove anyone?). Anyway, Chris sent me this video, and I thought it was hilarious how complicated and unfun the whole setup looked.

It's a fact.

I don't have a kitty

Unfortunately, Erik is allergic to cats. So I must say goodbye to Yuffie. I really hate the situation because really no one is at fault. Just two incompatible roommates. Another thing that stinks is that tomorrow, the cat adoption agency will come to pick Yuffie up. So I must say goodbye to Yuffie on my birthday.

Yuffie, you will be missed.

I have a kitty

Well, here's a fact for you. Over the weekend I got a kitty. She is very cute and loveable. I still don't know what I should name her. Leave a comment with a name idea. If I like it, I may use it.

It's a fact.

Mmmm science

Hmm, Hamburgers taste great, but are bad for you. Veggie burgers are good for you, but taste like cardboard. If only there was a way to get the best of both worlds. Oh wait, everybody loves hybrids! A company in St. Loius, Solae, is making a hybrid burger. Using a complex combination of soy and meat they are making burgers that (they say) taste and feel like the real thing. My default policy is "cautious optomism" about the whole thing, but sounds like too much science. Sometimes my stomach doesn't like digesting science.

It's a fact.

Scream at the Green!

Today's fact comes from a conversation I had with a friend of mine. He asked me what I thought of Piedmont Park's Screen on the Green. So I told him. "It sucks". It is a fact. It used to be great, but Screen on the Green is no longer enjoyable. Due to huge crowds and a mediocre pick of movies, I no longer go to these events. I remember getting to the Screen on the Green a mere 30 minutes before the show started and being able to comfortably watch 2001: A Space Odyssey under the stars. Now you have to get there at like 7 (3 hours before showtime), and for a movie like Willy Wonka, which is great but like the third time they've shown it.

It's a fact.
